What classes do you currently offer?

Fashion Styling (includes Fashion Styling 101, Fashion Styling 102 and Fashion Styling 103), Fashion Technology, Personal Shopping, Streetwear, Business and Introduction To Stylist Internship & Assistant. How long is the program?

The duration of our Fashion Programs are as follows:

Fashion Styling Program – 9 Months
Streetwear Program – 5 Months
Fashion Technology Program – 3 Months
Business Program – 3 Months
Personal Shopping Course – 2 Months
Introduction To Stylist Internship & Assistant Course – 1 Month

When are classes held?

Fall courses will begin in September 2019. Classes will be held one weekend (Saturday & Sunday) per month.  Class schedules will be provided to students upon acceptance.

Do I have to take the whole Fashion Styling program or can I start at Fashion 102 /103?

The whole program – everyone starts at Fashion 101. We want you to gain all the knowledge needed to survive in this industry!

How old do you need to be to be attend the Academy?

18 years or older (High School Diploma or equivalent required).

Where is the program held?

New York City, New York

Do you have to live in New York to attend classes?

No. We accept out of state residents.

Do you provide housing & transportation?

Please understand the academy does not provide housing or transportation.

How much does program cost?

The cost of our Fashion Programs are as follows:

Fashion Styling Program: $5,900

includes the below:
Fashion 101 -$600
Fashion 102-$2,000 Fashion 103-$2,500
$800 mandatory fee for program supplies

Streetwear Program: $1,500
Fashion Technology Program: $1,500
Business Program: $1,200
Personal Shopping Course: $1,000
Introduction To Stylist Internship & Assistant Course: $750

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! Payment plan options are provided upon acceptance.

Do you provide financial aid?

Yes! Helping those affected by hardship begin on a path to increase their knowledge and vision in the world of fashion, is the heart of The Misa Hylton Fashion Academy.  For more information about our Scholarship Programs please email us at: info@misahyltonfashionacademy.com

Are classes offered in other states?

Not at this time.

Do you offer online classes?

Not at this time.

Will a job be offered after completion of the program?

We are not a job placement agency. However we do offer internships if a student qualifies. MHFA staff reviews all students for any available opportunities.

Are any of your graduates of the school actively working now?

Yes! To date, our students have worked with Beyonce, Anne Hathaway, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Mary J Blige, Tiffany Haddish, Zendaya, Michael B Jordan; The Emmy’s, Oscar’s (Academy Awards), Met Gala; Televisions networks such as: HBO, FX, VH1, Bravo; as well as Essence, Vogue, and more!

Do you offer anything for Kids?

Yes! The MHFA Jr. Fashion Camp is held every year in July for children 8-16 years old. This year’s camp will be held July 12, 2019 -July 14, 2019.

Are you accepting applications?

We are currently accepting applications for the Fall 2019 Semester, until the deadline date of August 16, 2019.

How do I apply?

Go to www.MisaHyltonFashionAcademy.com and select your desired course on the “Course” page. Click “APPLY NOW” and follow instructions. A $25 application fee is required to receive the application. You will be contacted to schedule an interview once application is purchased.

The interview process takes approximately 15-20 minutes. What is required on day of interview?

A $250 (cash or credit card) deposit is required to hold your seat for the courses. The deposit will go toward your tuition. If applicant does not have $250 deposit at the beginning of the interview he/she will not be able to interview. No exceptions!

If not accepted, the $250 deposit will be refunded to applicant at the conclusion of the interview. Accepted candidates $250 deposit will be applied to tuition.

Absolutely not.
